Topre manufactures bumpers and door beams using the world’s strongest class 1180 MPa high tensile steel sheets, products that had previously been made of 980 MPa class high tensile steel sheets.
Topre is far ahead of others in producing body frames made of high tensile steel sheet, which is much stronger than conventional steel.
As well as strength, Topre is successfully reducing the weight
of components, which is currently a big challenge in automobile development.
We are a top high-tensile steel manufacturer of proven status, and our products
are of the highest quality.

We also perform high precision analysis utilizing CAE simulation.
We respond to the high specifications required by customers with precise quality - we can do this because we have imaginative planning and design skills and flexibility as an independent company.
We are equipped with multiple types of CAD software for designing automotive components so that we can respond to each customer’s requirements. This fully equipped development environment is completed by our integrated production system. We can carry out all processes, from development to volume production, in a short turnaround to fulfill customers’ demands.
Metal balloons make us safer―metal airbags
The idea of metal airbags which are stored under the seat
to prevent the submarine phenomenon was inspired by the sight of a child
making and blowing up an Origami (folding paper) balloon.
This product features
elastic expandability, even though the material is metal, and the strength
is sufficient to firmly support a human body. This is a typical product that
embodies Topre’s advanced metal processing technology and imaginative viewpoint.

■Submarine Phenomenon
The submarine phenomenon is the situation in which the body sinks and slides under the seatbelt when an impact occurs during an accident.
Topre’s metal airbag is stored under the seat cushion. An
impact triggers the bag to expand and stabilize the passenger’s body, preventing
the submarine phenomenon. Different from the conventional cushion-type airbags,
Topre’s metal airbag acts as a restraint, maintaining the passenger’s safety.

Global warming prevention is a significant challenge in the automobile manufacturing industry. To reduce the cause of global warming, CO2 emissions, it is essential to achieve further component weight reduction. We are advancing plastic (press) -forming technology to develop “light and strong” components.
