Steel Sheet Structure and Welding Engineering that Significantly Improves the Rigidity of Photocopier Housings

  • To further increase rigidity, Topre now uses laser welding for the assembly of parts previously assembled with screws. Laser-welded products are highly resilient in terms of shape and achieve 30% more rigidity than equivalent products assembled with screws.

The housing of a photocopier or printer has to be made precisely and must be lightweight but solid in order to produce high quality printing at high speed. Topre can meet these requirements with our high precision press technology. For example, we have developed technology for producing office equipment housing adapting the monocoque structuring technique used in the production of automotive parts. The housings made using this technique are nine times more solid than conventional housings.

Imagination/Involvement from the Earliest Stage of Photocopier Development We Provide a Modular Assembly Service

  • Topre further provides a modular assembly service up to near-completed product level, not only assembling the functional components, but also testing the subassembly before delivery to the customer.

In order to ensure the high specifications demanded by photocopier manufacturers, Topre gets involved during the early stages of a photocopier’s development. Our extended services include strength analysis using CAE and recommendations for appropriate structures to fulfill a variety of manufacturers’ demands.

Our technology also easily adapts to upsizing of photocopiers. Topre offers high-precision press and welding technology to make the photocopier housing more rigid

Topre's Future/Focusing on a Large Photocopier Requiring High Precision and Rigidity

Topre’s outstanding high-precision press and highly-rigid-housing manufacturing technologies come into play in this large photocopier, which requires extremely accurate high-precision machining. Such a photocopier is used for high speed photocopying and large-scale printing by printing companies, and Topre is determined to remain a primary supplier in this field.
